Mad Hatter

Let's face it, dressing a boy just isn't as much fun as dressing a girl. Dressing my daughter is pure, unadulterated girliness all the time, in the form of tutus, dresses, hair accessories, you name it. When my son came along I was flummoxed. After the first few months of onesies and pajamas, it was time to start putting some real clothes on him, and other than jeans and some layered tees, I'm stumped.

Style Bubble: You Can Leave Your Hat On!

For her wildly popular blog, Style Bubble, London-based Susie Bubble (no, it's not her real name) draws inspiration from indie designers, fashion history, and her own closet. We've asked her to blog for us all week on Lucky Right Now. I didn't choose hats. They chose me. Or, rather, my parents put me in a school where a straw boater hat with a forest green grosgrain ribbon was part and parcel of the uniform. This was, at the time, the fanciest thing I probably owned. I wore the hat beyond school, whilst watching Hartbeat and Thunder Cats on TV as well as using and abusing the power lodged deep inside the straw boater to lord it over my younger sister who was alas, not endowed with a school uniform hat. Poor thing.
