Bal Harbour Shops
All the big names (Louis Vuitton, Prada, Chanel—you get the idea) are here at Miami’s ritziest shopping center, where they sit next to independent boutiques like Lulu (our favorite denim store in the city). If you have any cash left post-spree, pick up something to read at Books & Books, the city’s best independent bookseller, then treat yourself to a sushi lunch at Makoto. 9700 Collins Ave., Bal Harbour, balharbourshops.com

Alchemist
The price tags on the Rodarte and Givenchy gowns are nearly as—gulp—spectacular as the setting at this glass-walled boutique, perched on the fifth floor of a Herzog & de Meuron–designed parking garage. (Don’t drive up or you’ll get stuck with an up-to-$15 parking fee—take the elevator from the first floor.) A five-minute walk down Lincoln Road is a sister store with edgier lines, like Thompsen and Etoile by Isabel Marant—at less spectacular (in a good way) prices. 1111 Lincoln Rd., 305-531-4815; 438 Lincoln Rd., 305-531-4653, shopalchemist.com

C. Madeleine's
This 10,000-square-foot space on a nondescript stretch of Biscayne Boulevard is the improbable home of the best vintage collection in the U.S.—we’re talking Edwardian slips, Thierry Mugler power suits, pristine-condition design pieces and one boutique dedicated entirely to Chanel. Don’t go looking for bargains—the staff maintains an incredibly high level of curation, with the price tags to match. Even so, we’ve got our eye on a pair of Bertoia diamond chairs with their original seat pads—not a steal, but gorgeous investment pieces, starting at $600. 13702 Biscayne Blvd., North Miami Beach, 305-945-7770, cmadeleines.com

Fly Boutique
This jam-packed Lincoln Road vintage shop rewards the scavenger: We found ’70s beaded clutches, Marc Jacobs ballet flats and too many Louis Vuitton handbags to count. 650 Lincoln Rd., 305-604-8508, flyboutiquevintage.c
