Even though we arose extra-early this morning to visit the Alexander Wang preview sale, the cobblestone street outside the designer’s Soho headquarters was packed tight by the time we got there, with fashion editors and stylish it-girls browsing to the booming beats of Lady Gaga.

Thursday afternoon, we stopped by Lyn Devon’s cavernous sublevel studio for a preview of her first-ever sample sale, which she’s hosting with Project Runway darling Christian Siriano and Theory and Carolina Herrera-alum Karolina Zmarlak.

We were intrigued when we heard that Top chef judge Padma Lakshmi had an eponymous jewelry line, and its first-ever sample was being held at the swanky Surrey Hotel on the Upper East Side.
