1. Secondhandrose.com: Second Hand Rose is this obscure, fantastic vintage wallpaper store here in Manhattan that one hears amazing things about, but never visits until, say, your wallpaper for a photoshoot gets stuck in Kentucky because of a snowstorm. This is what happened to me yesterday. They recently launched an e-commerce site that is so beautifully comprehensive (some of their rolls date back to the 1880s) and easy to use that I'm now trying to come up with a home project just so I can get this 50s faux-tuffed wallpaper.

When I landed in Seattle early yesterday--via HSN in Tampa--I desperately needed a nap. Not only did I look like I'd been punched in both eyes, but I was making all sorts of questionable decisions, like choosing to charge my phone on a giant concrete pillar in the middle of the Avis parking garage (rather than you know, at a normal wall outlet immediately inside with a chair nearby) and calling into a non-existent conference call, repeatedly, wondering why nobody was joining me. But, while it would have been a sound decision to head straight for the hotel, I decided to go straight to Totokaelo instead.
