If This Bag Were a Person: The Row Edition

If this bag were a person, it would be your landlord.

Really, this bag means different things to different people, but for the most part, it signifies someone who comes into your life to take your money while also providing shelter for important objects (wallet, keys, etc.) and be there when you may/may not need it (to store your goods, look swanky on your arm, etc.).

Granted, this bag could also be the Financial Services department from that private university you attended. Or your parents, if you owe them for laying out your car insurance in high school. Or an annoying friend/boyfriend/sibling/anyone you know who is perpetually broke.

Huff and puff about your newfound poverty all you want, but that bag is in your life and you won’t be getting rid of it anytime soon. But let’s look on the bright side: seeing it sitting on a shelf gives you a moment of clarity—that this is what it’s like to be an adult. You take the good and you take the bad and you take them both and there you have the facts of life, am I right or am I right? Regardless, there is a beautiful piece of leather in your possession perfectly shielding those aforementioned important objects from harm and no one needs to know that you’ll be eating ramen for the next two months.
