Totes Cool: Why Lucky Creative Director Katia Kuethe Prefers A Big Bag
Ask anyone who works at Lucky and they'll tell you: our creative director Katia Kuethe has style in spades. She's also got a seriously inspiring set of super cool tote bags—one for every day of the week. We asked Katia to share the stories behind some of our (and her!) favorites. Here's what she had to say—and click through the slideshow above to peep her collection.
"As the creative director at Lucky, I have surrendered almost entirely to practicality on the weekdays and save my classic Chanel 2.55 for my more chic weekend activities.
Monday through Friday, I split my time between our offices in Times Square, being on set for shoots and meeting with new photographers and stylists. I usually have either the Lucky dummy book or reference materials to carry around, which is why my work bag needs to fit the equivalent of a 11x17 notebook comfortably! The dummy book is heavy, and that makes me appreciate an almost weightless tote bag even more. No heavy leather or hardware for me. To keep all my nitty-gritty items (like beauty products, keys, and phone chargers) organized, I use a tried-and-tested array of fashionable pouches—but let us save that for another time!" -Katia Kuethe, creative director.
