Though beautiful even unlit, the true, extremely delicate scent—inspired by its creator's trip to the Veuve Clicquot vineyards in France, so think delightful, fizzy champagne along with a touch of apricot, all warmth with no sweetness—becomes apparent only as the bit of melty wax starts to pool around the wick. Anyone who walks by will stop and find an excuse to linger.

I use the candle as a motivational tool to force myself to do things I hate, so it now resides next to the dishwasher. Why unloading a dishwasher is so torturous to me, I don't know—you'd think loading a dishwasher would be a grosser and thus less desirable assignment—but for me, the glooming pit of despair and horror is, in fact, a dishwasher full of clean dishes, waiting to be put away.
