The Beauty Closet: Laura Mercier Nail Lacquer

A big, sprawling, dusty, and unruly acreage was The Way, best when punctuated with the ultimate glamour coup de grâce: peacocks. A gaggle (?) of three to five was ideal, but one would do. Extra points if you allowed them to lounge inside the house as well as out. (Peacocks can be loud and cranky, but they are the most feline of the avian community; they lounge and preen like gorgeous, self-involved teenagers.) In any case, I look at this polish, and I cannot resist. And I cannot resist suggesting that Peacock would be a more appropriate name than the current, Robin Leach—esque one.
