There's not a beauty editor on the planet who did not love YSL Gloss Volupté.

I've always kept at least one in my makeup bag, then one in my outer bag (easier access), then one in my pocket (even easier access). With this sort of constant-contact neurosis surrounding a particular item, it is pretty much Murphy's Law that it would end up being discontinued. I was thankful to have my beauty editor compatriots to commiserate with. "No!!!" tweeted one. "R.I.P.!" mourned another. Let no one ever say that any of us is jaded.

We were jolted out of our misery quickly—by something new called Volupté Sheer Candy, which looks, feels and tastes like the Gloss Volupté, except for the fact that the bullet of balm is now thicker and encased in a significantly more glamorous tube. All super-positive developments, no? The best color is the dark berry, but they're all good. I plan to have one in my makeup bag, one in my regular bag, one in my pocket and maybe 100 or so stockpiled just in case.
