How to Find Your Face Shape

The following is a guest post from our friends at The Beauty Department.

If you've ever tried to determine your face shape by tracing lipstick along a mirror to outline it (doesn't everyone do this in middle school or high school?) you probably still don't know it. Those D.I.Y efforts just end up looking like amorphous blobs, a little heart-y, slightly oval, never anything that concrete.

But since face shape actually is important for things like makeup application, brow shaping and of course hair styles, we've devised another way to determine yours: a handy little infographic. (There are more steps involved in its process than the lipstick-mirror-scrawl, but we think it's because it works.) For the complete chart, please visit Thebeautydepartment.com.
