Last night at the Trump Soho, Avon's youthful, on-trend line Mark celebrated its 10th birthday. Along with yours truly, brand ambassador Lucy Hale was on hand to toast Mark not only for a decade of fun and affordable products, but also for Mark's dedication to women through its m.powerment initiative.

"I wanted [my next campaign] to be more than just my face promoting something, and that's why Mark is so important to me—because it stands for everything I believe in. I've always been a girls' girl and Mark is all about empowering women, telling them to embrace their uniqueness and make their mark on the world," she told the crowd.

From her fresh-faced appearance, you'd never guess that just 24 hours earlier, Hale was across the country hosting the Teen Choice Awards. The secret? According to the actress' makeup artist Fiona Stiles—who has recently been named Mark's official Celebrity Makeup Artist and Brand Expert—being young helps—but also, lipstick. "Once you put on a lipstick and you put on a party dress, you're ready to go." (Side note: here's the lipstick she used on Lucy.)

Of course, I'd bet the actress was still riding the high from a pretty awesome night. In addition to nailing her hosting gig, Pretty Little Liars won seven awards (including Choice Summer TV Star for Hale), plus she got to meet one of her favorite bands, Florida Georgia Line.

"I literally chased them down the road and was like 'You're the only people I wanted to meet!'" she told me later on in the evening. But the highlight of the show? "When we got Harry Styles to twerk."

With only 20 hours in New York, the busy starlet never seems to slow down—but when she does, she says she tries "to wear as little makeup as possible." Although she did confess to never leaving the house without concealer and mascara. Celebrities: they're just like us.
