"With my A.M. beauty routine, I'm fairly quick. For me, it is all about good quality skincare and next to no makeup."

"I get compliments on my skin despite my old age. Thus far I am a virgin when it comes to any laser, filler or Botox. I think good daily maintenance goes a long way. I wash my face with the Clarisonic Mia 2 (Thanks, Eva Chen!)."
"There is a mild cleanser I like from Osea, called Ocean Cleanser. It's very gentle and makes the skin feels fresh and dewy."
"As an alternative to a traditional scrub, which I often find too harsh or abrasive, I use this product from YSL. It's a bit weird at first because it transforms into a gooey texture, but I find it works very well and leaves me fresh-faced."
"Having moved to New York from Germany 12 years ago, I still love using German products. I prefer a more apothecary/utilitarian feel. I don't love expensive, fragrant shower gels or anything that feels too fancy. I love a rustic Weleda or Dr. Kneipp shower gel."
"There is this old-school, super spicy German toothpaste called Ajona, which I love so very much. It reminds me of my dad. Oddly, it was already vintage when he used it in my childhood."

"As much as I love a rustic feeling for the shower, when it comes to skincare, my vanity looks like a science lab and I do spend a little bit of money on it.

I never use any traditional moisturizer, only oils or serums. Moisturizer feels too heavy on my skin, except for maybe La Mer SPF 30 UV Protective Fluid. I love the scent and it's very fresh and light."

"If there are any annoying skin irritations going on, I use an alcoholic roll-on from Burt's Bees or plain tee tree oil; that always does the trick."

"Every other day I use a product from Bliss: Peeling Groovy Facial Serum, which is mildly exfoliating.

After that I use two very lightweight serum formulas from SkinCeuticals: one called CE Ferulic and the other one is the Hydrating B5 Gel. I don¹t know what they do exactly, but I have been pleased with this line so far."

"Christine Suarez, a photographer friend of mine, gave me an amazing/odd-smelling face oil from Aesop. It is called Fabulous Face Oil, and I mix that with a drop of a tinted BB cream. Right now I use Diorskin Nude BB Crème."
"This year I discovered Natura Bissé Diamond White SPF 50 Oil Free Sun Protection. It is quite opaque, so less is more. Mixing it with another formula keeps the look fresh. A few years ago, Eva Chen taught me to use SPF daily because I used to go on cover shoots and come back with a sunburn."
"I use a toothbrush and clear mascara to shape my brows, which I think are one of my better features. I leave them fully natural. I love a good-looking brow on girls—I find they make such a big difference in shaping the face. If I am up for the extra mile, I use a L'Oréal brow pencil for minimal fill-ins."
"I use an eyelash curler most days for work. Since I religiously never wear mascara, I kind of almost have to, and I find it makes all the difference. Eva just gave me one from Eyeko. It has a navy velvet handle and feels very old Hollywood."
"If I look  puffy or tired, I use a very light under-eye concealer from Clinique, which I find works quite well."
"I use a little bit of blush every day for that British Rose look. I alternate between NARS Orgasm, Chanel Rose Petale, Dior Rose Glow Awakening Blush, or a little touch of Guerlain Terracotta Light Sheer Bronzing Powder in Blonde 01."
"On my lips I use YSL Touche Éclat to create an slightly paler base, and then use Rodin lip balm for a natural glossy look. I also always love a pale peachy glossy lip. Yves Saint Laurent Rouge Volupte Sheer Candy Glossy Lip Balm in 003 Juicy Grapefruit is one of my favorites."
"Should I feel ambitious, I accentuate a beauty mark on my cheek ever so slightly with a classic black Lancôme pencil. Then it's a whiff of my beloved Diorissimo and I am out of the door!"
