A Double Dose of Braid Inspiration from the Grammy Red Carpet

We've seen our fair share of pretty braids here at Lucky. And just when you think you've seen every braid possible, this year's Grammys brought two interesting ways to incorporate them into your hairstyle.

Colbie Caillat not only had a braid that she coiled into a super high bun, she had a cool Dutch braid that started just to the side of the nape of her neck and ran up the back of her head into the rest of her hair.

During Sara Bareilles' red carept interview, she told Giuliana Rancic on E! News that her intricate half-up hairstyle was inspired by Katniss Everdeen from The Hunger Games. Hairstylist Roland Beauchamp created the look by first spraying Garnier Fructis Style Deconstructed Beach Chic Texturizing Spray ($3.49, target.com) on her damp hair. Then he did loose cornrow braids and curled the ends of her hair to achieve a "roughed up" look to contrast with her feminine Blumarine gown.
