Kelly Rowland—former Destiny's Child songstress, current R&B diva and the new celebrity face of Caress—is ready for a fresh start. "[My interest in the campaign] recently all started when I cut my hair and needed something else new in my life too," says Kelly. "I love that Caress inspires women to enjoy ordinary life experiences—like your daily beauty routine in the shower—and take it to the next level by making every day feel like a new beginning. I think a great day all begins with your morning routine and making it an uplifting experience. Caress' Juicy Escape body wash is my favorite way to get there. The scent makes me more alive by waking me up, and I think when something invigorates you like that, people can see that light in you."

Being named the Caress Fabulista ambassador isn't the only thing that's new in Kelly's life right now. We couldn't help but notice the singer's new chic, cropped haircut—and she happily gave us all the details. "I really needed it," says Kelly. "For a while I've been rocking the long hair and bangs. I loved that look, but I got bored with looking in the mirror at the same style over and over agin. I tried lightening the tips, dying it black, but decided it was just time to cut it. [Hairstylist] Neal Farinah created this look for me. I told him, 'I need something different. I don't care how short you cut it, just cut it off!' I would've gone bald that day, to be completely honest. That's how badly I needed a change."

Kelly, of course, is no stranger to changing up her beauty look. Above, we take a look back at some her most memorable hair and makeup moments over the years, and she walks us through the styles she loved–as well as the ones she swears she'll never try again.
