Since Koreans usually are born with jet-black hair, my natural brunette-sometimes-red single color style usually comes as a shock to everyone from pro hairstylists to my own family members. And I do love the color, but the more that I see that ombré hair is officially here to stay, the more I want try to it out for myself. I'm super low-maintenance when it comes to my hair and I love the idea of not having to deal with roots growing in the way you do with a complete color change—with ombré, darker roots are encouraged! Plus, lightened ends look so flattering on basically everyone.

Especially after a fellow Lucky staffer went for a colorful red-to-black ombré (first, with gorgeous subtle ends and then with a dramatic dip-dye look), I became obsessed with all the ways you can have fun with the trend. Whatever combo of colors you decide to go with, it's such a fresh option to change up your style. Click through above for 14 other convincing ways ombré might be right for you, too.
