A Lucky Staffer's New Foundation Obsession for Acne-Prone Skin
"Walking into work the first day of wearing new makeup can be daunting–especially when you have acne-prone skin," said Lucky's public relations coordinator, Stephanie Kornblum. "So many thoughts race through your head: Does it match my skin tone? Did I blend it properly? Is it going to melt off my face in this sweltering summer heat? Though I've absolutely loved all of Eve Lom's skincare products for years, I couldn't help but still have my hesitations about trying her latest Mineral Powder Foundation for the very first time.
It turns out, I seriously had nothing to worry about. When I walked into work after trying on my new makeup, I immediately received not one, but two, comments about how glowy my skin looked. The old me would've run straight to the mirror with blotting sheets in attempt to remove excess shine. However, the glow they were referring to wasn't about the shine from excess oil, but more of the subtle healthy-looking gleam like an elvish princess from Lord of the Rings (which is the highest compliment possible, obviously).
There isn't any tricky, overly complicated way that you need to apply the foundation, either. After applying concealer, tap a small amount into the cap and buff your skin in circular motions. Immediately redness disappears and your skin looks Beyoncé-level #FLAWLESS. And that's all you can ask for in life, really.
As an acne-prone lady, I usually avoid powder foundation since I normally don't think it gives enough coverage, but I am officially a convert. The talc-free formula goes on smooth and covers any imperfections. And those glowy skin comments I received earlier that day? They kept rolling in."
