If Your Skin Is: Oily
Day:
After a mild cleanser, an SPF with soothing ingredients is all you need. Really. A famous dermatologist is forever reminding us, "SPF is moisturizer!" It's true.
Night:
A serum with salicylic acid will treat breakout-prone areas; a light oil or potent antiager can go everywhere else.
Twice A Week:
Exfoliating masks unclog pores, brighten skin—and make any moisturizer work better.
If Your Skin Is: Dry
Day:
Layering is the way to go: After cleansing, moisturize. Wait five minutes, then apply your SPF—preferably a super-emollient one.
Night:
Your skin loses more moisture while you sleep, so heavier textures are great. Put on an oil or antiager, then seal with a serious cream.
Twice A Week:
To hydrate most effectively, a mask needs to exfoliate—clearing away flaky skin helps moisture penetrate deeply.
