1. It helps to start with the smoothest canvas possible, so prep with a gentle exfoliating scrub.
2. Apply concealer where needed so that your skin looks even and fresh.
3. Dip a big fluffy powder brush in bronzer, tap off the excess and sweep it over your temples, across your cheekbones and down the center of your nose—wherever the sun would hit, so the look is naturally beachy and sun-kissed. If you're pale, go for a sheer, golden beige color. If you have a medium skin tone, aim for a warm, bronzy hue. Coppery tones flatter dark skin beautifully. And make sure the shade isn't too shimmery: The goal is a soft, subtle sheen.
4. Dust whatever's left on the brush over your collarbone, shoulders and décolleté area. That way, there won't be a disconnect.
5. Finish by swirling a pop of rosy pink blush on the apples of your cheeks. That's truly the secret to a sexy, believable, just-back-from-Ibiza effect. No surf chick is naturally just bronze. A hint of a flush is incredibly flattering and instantly furthers the beachy enchantment.
