Fabb Attendee Spotlight: Krystal Bick of This Time Tomorrow

FABB is as much about the attendees as it is about the panelists. In this FABB Attendee Spotlight, Krystal Bick of This Time Tomorrow tells Lucky all about the blogging life, from how she got started to where she gets inspired.

Q: Tell us about your blog, This Time Tomorrow.

A: I really see my blog as my own personal style diary. I document what I'm wearing, what I'm currently obsessing over and my general style inspirations almost every day. I started it almost three years ago when I stumbled upon numerous street style community sites like Chictopia and Lookbook, where I found other like-minded style enthusiasts. The very next day, I headed outside with a simple point-and-shoot camera, balanced on a mail box, and tried to snap my outfit shots. Gotta start somewhere, right?

Q: What are your blogging necessities?

A: Practically nine times out of 10, you can usually find me with my MacBook Air, a Canon Rebel T3i, my iPhone with Instagram and Twitter cued up and ready to go, a Moleskine notebook and business cards.

Q: The annual September FABB is held in New York. What do you think differentiates LA/California from NYC in terms of fashion and beauty?

A: There's a different sort of ease and sensibility to it. On the West Coast, it's a bit more laid back, more rocker on the road. On the East Coast, it's a bit more tailored, more polished.

Q: As a fashion blogger, why is having a forum like FABB important to the industry?

A: As the role and influence of fashion bloggers continues to expand, I think having a forum like FABB is so incredibly important as it helps solidify and acknowledge this growing phenomenon. There's no denying that bloggers are quickly becoming influencers and major content producers for brands and magazines alike. Of course, this only means there's a lot to define along the way. Which is why FABB is a great way to connect and learn from each other while we figure out exactly the best and most meaningful ways bloggers and the fashion industry can work together.

Q: What do you hope to learn or take away from FABB West?

A: I'm personally really looking forward to the discussion around blogging as a business. While I don't necessarily blog full time, I think there will be a lot of great tips to glean from it that can help streamline the minimal business I do run. And, of course, I'm looking forward to meeting new, like-minded blogging ladies!

Q: What are some of your favorite blogs to read?

A: Too many to count really! My go-tos include The Glamourai, The Coveteur, Stockholm Streetstyle, Brooklyn Blonde, My Style Pill, Eat Sleep Wear, Cheetah is the New Black, The Man Repeller and Atlantic Pacific.
