rewardStyle Hosts FABB West Brunch
FABB West took LA by storm. Check back often, because we'll be recapping some of our favorite moments and events.
To get FABB attendees excited for the big event on April 30, Lucky hosted a fashion-fueled brunch on Sunday, April 29. It was thrown at the Viceroy Hotel by rewardStyle, every fashion and beauty blogger’s favorite linking tool.
The brunch was the first occasion for our bloggers to mix, mingle and talk shop(ping). The rewardStyle team, led by president Amber Venz— who also writes VENZedits and sat on a panel at FABB West —welcomed guests and talked about ways bloggers can make money from their websites and tweets.
RewardStyle (and sister-site CurrentlyObsessed.me) enables bloggers to share their favorite items and get paid when readers click and make purchases via affiliate links, which Amber likens to the commission of a personal shopper. During the “Ways to Monetize Your Blog” panel on Monday, Amber told attendees that rewardStyle has users that make more than $20,000 a month. Seriously.
“Anytime you have an event with nearly one hundred of the most successful style bloggers in the US, there are going to be some great outfits and beautiful hair,” said Amber.
“Best look goes to Marlien Rentmeester. She nailed casual cool with her ikat dress and simple bohemian accessories. Best beauty goes to Samantha Hutchinson of Could I Have That?. Her long red hair was clean and simple and her perfect camera smirk has me sitting in front of the mirror practicing.”
