Christin Trogan is a senior producer for Will Ferrell’s Webby Award winning comedy website, Funnyordie.com. Since she began with FOD in 2008, Christin has produced over two hundred celebrity and brand-driven video shorts, as well as content for the 2012 Academy Awards, ESPN, the MLB, The Enough Project, The Jason D. Heigl Foundation, and comedy segments for broadcast on the NFL Network.
Christin is a 2007 graduate of Michigan State University, where she graduated magna cum laude with degrees in film theory and creative writing. Prior to her relocation to Los Angeles, where she now resides, Christin worked frequently with NFL Films’ team of Emmy Award winning cinematographers and producers. Under their guidance, Christin worked on the football field as a cinematographer’s assistant for regular season and playoff games as well as Super Bowl XLII. Additional key projects include shows such as HBO’s Hard Knocks and Game of the Week.
Upon relocating to Los Angeles, Christin found her niche as a producer at Funny or Die. While continuing to produce the celebrity and brand-driven content on which she built her career at FOD, Christin additionally oversees all philanthropic and sports-related projects for web and television. FOD has provided her with the rare opportunity to be involved in every step of the creative process from pitch to picture lock, as well as participation in the video marketing process. This hands-on experience has led to her fundamental understanding of how comedy is a key element in viral marketing through social media across multi-platform integration.
Christin will be co-producing her first feature film - a character-driven narrative about a once-prolific fashion PR consultant attempting to make a storied comeback - with Uncorked Productions in New York this year.
