*Not a half hour after I put it on, another beauty editor accosted me at an event: "Tell me. You got extensions, didn't you. Tell me the TRUTH."
Most Popular How-Tos
Hugely compelling: these lists of the bestselling
moisturizers, bronzers, etc. They make me want to try a zillion new
things.

Kristin Davis is hot. HOT. Her skin is fantastic; she looks, like, 29 years old (she uses Ahava—she loved the brand so much that they made her their spokesperson). FYI, she dresses Charlotte-y in real life. Very pretty.A
ANYWAY. I know all this because I, along with aforementioned Kristin Davis, attended theA opening of CVS/Pharmacy's new prestige boutique BEAUTY 360 in Ridgefield, Connecticut. The brands are fantastic: Ahava, Vincent Longo, Philip B, Mario Badescu, LOLA Cosmetics...the list goes on and on.A The space is super-modern; it's a special wing inside the actual drugstore.A
The Connecticut store is the third Beauty 360 in the U.S. (the other two are in D.C. and Mission Viejo, California), but the CVS people are aiming for another 30 (!) this year.A We'll blog each time a new location opens—stay tuned!
Was the Speidi-in-swine-flu-masks photo op not one of the greatest of all time? Of course, they weren’t the first to attract media attention by wearing surgical masks: Michael Jackson was ON that trend forever ago, possibly before SARS.
And way before that--before little Blanket Jackson, before the oxygen tank rumors, before Bubbles the Chimp ever dusted a bedroom--Michael Jackson was a trendsetter. Like today’s most stylish celebrities--Jennifer Lopez, Gwen Stefani, Kate Moss--MJ had a fragrance (a whole collection, in fact: Mystique de Michael Jackson, Legende de Michael Jackson, Magic Beat Unwind, Magic Beat Heartbeat, Magic Beat Wildfire, and Michael Jackson Mystery).
Sometimes you can find them on Ebay (have we all checked out Lucky'sA Ebay Obsessed blog?). It’s the perfect gift for someone--someone weird, but someone nevertheless! I, for example, would die for a fragrance designed by Pete Doherty (you can speculate in the comments section what that would smell like).
Which weird celebrity do you wish had a fragrance (and how would it smell)? I'll shout out some of my favorite commenters in next week's celeb perfume post...

My father spends basically every waking hour of his life on psych wards making rounds, so he's not exactly whom I turn to for product recommendations. But, alas! Like many hard-on-their-parents daughters, I've underestimated him. He introduced me to this Biotene mouthwash, which specifically (and brilliantly) treats dry mouth (fancy term: Xerostomia) caused by (amongst other things) certain medications, psychiatric or otherwise.A It's also good for coffee-guzzling editors who stress out a lot (another cause of cottonmouth), smokers, or just anyone who can't force themselves to drink water constantly. Accordingly, it's super-breath-freshening, but mild-tasting and gentle.A I bought it at the drugstore (by the pharmacy counter, natch), but you can get it on Amazon.com for a mere $6.
