Nice and Easy

Anthropologie's "Billie" Tunic is the current front-runner in accessories assistant Becca Aronson's ongoing search for the perfect summer dress. It's made of really soft silk and combines a range of pretty Indian-inspired patterns (though I wouldn't necessarily think to put all those colors and motifs together, the overall effect is very chic and only subtly hippieish). And while it's cut modestly enough to be office-appropriate, you can wear it for an evening out and still feel sexy, too.

Keepers

Fashion news contributor Erin Wylie's latest obsession are these Guatemalan-print sneakers by Keep. "I love the idea of slip-on tennis shoes," she says, "and not only does the pattern on these feel really fresh, but they're more sleek and feminine than the average pair." To keep the look polished, do as Erin does and wear them with tight, dark denim.

Sugar and Spice

Vosges, a Chicago-based company known for luxurious chocolates in weird-but-delicious flavor combinations (like my personal longstanding favorite, the Naga, a truffle dusted with curry powder), has just introduced the most super-deluxe peanut butter cup ever. That all the ingredients are the fanciest and creamiest is a given, but the unexpected surprise is that it's topped with a little bit of pink Himalayan salt and some kind of rare Fleur de Sel that's the perfect, savory counterpoint to the smooth, sweet (but not too sweet) peanut butter.

Happy Accident

While on holiday last week, senior beauty editor Cristina Mueller, who has straight hair, ran out of shampoo and resorted to borrowing some from a friend—a friend with naturally curly, ringlet-y hair. It turned out to be a sort of non-shampoo shampoo just for curly hair: It doesn't lather, which cuts down on frizz, and is sulfate-free. But Cristina swears it works amazingly well for the rest of us too: "Much more moisturizing than my regular shampoo," she says, "and there was just enough conditioning stuff in there that it acted kind of like a light leave-in conditioner that totally detangled everything."

All Good

Fashion news associate editor Lauren DeCarlo recently discovered the bag line Helena de Natalio, which was started by designer Helen Hoppock, in large part to support local artisans in Buenos Aires, where she's based. The goods, like this roomy cocoa-colored tote, have a rough-hewn, handcrafted appeal, with details—like tassels, braided handles, and marbly leather—that can look really cheesy (and cost twice as much) when they're mass-produced. But this is the real deal, and with proceeds going to a great cause, we have all the reasons we need to indulge.

New to the Web: Roam

Another great Manhattan boutique, Roam, has hit the Web: Shoproam.com stocks all the chic, moderately priced jewelry and accessories we'd come to love them for—and then some. I particularly like these dangly teardrop earrings, which come in a little hand-sewn pouch made of vintage fabrics. Check out their housewares selection while you're on the site—it all shares the same clean, organic vibe as the jewelry, and is equally tempting.

Fun Couple

This bikini is so simple (pink and white stripes) and yet so weird (studded leather) we're not sure whether we love it or think it's insane—but we're pretty sure we love it. It's like what Barbarella would have worn if she had been invited to Nantucket.

Scarily Beautiful

Accessories director Chris Frey has been noticing—and loving—a rise in jungle-animal-inspired jewelry, and this gilded panther ring is one of her favorite examples of the trend. "It's beautiful and menacing at the same time," she says, "and the combination of rubies and gold feels particularly rich." It's definitely striking on its own, though Chris likes the idea of stacking it with thin gold bands for a more gypsyish look. And, on a delicate chain, it'd also make a very cool pendant.

Oxfords—Not Just for the Über-Preppy

On her daily commute, executive editor Meredith Kahn Rollins began noticing an abundance of cute downtown-y girls riding the subway in equally cute, ever-so-rumpled shrunken oxfords. Though Meredith is too large with child for shrunken anything to make sense right now, she's just obsessive enough to have felt the need to track down the perfect one anyway. She found it at Steven Alan, master of the cool button-down. Right now he's doing a particularly cool pin-tucked, three-quarter-length-sleeved version. It's a great thing to wear on weekends with a denim skirt, and works just as well for the office with a black cotton suit.

Good News for the Small But Busty

If you happen to be among the tricky-to-fit population of women with a narrow rib cage and ample chest, you'll be especially pleased to know that British-based lingerie company Freya makes bras—pretty ones you'll actually want to wear—with widths as small as 28 and cup sizes going up to J. In addition to the requisite underwire for support, they've got a lot more feminine details (delicate lace, teeny ribbons) than the skinny-but-busty have come to expect in an undergarment.
