The Tale of the Striped Shirt and the Jerk at the Party

Let's be really honest with each other for a second. Even though it might be hard to hear, and you might feel like I'm telling you there's no Santa ... A person can't find everything on eBay. This was pointed out to me at a party the other night by one of those very specific, kind of uptight, conversation-fact-checker people. I'd said (rather hyperbolically): "I love eBay! Seriously, everything I own is from there!" and he said, "That's impossible. Really? Really? Everything you own you bought on eBay? I find that very hard to believe." (Picture all of my happiness bubbles deflating.) Anyway, he was right, obviously. Sometimes a dream on your favorite auction site doesn't work out. This is why I had to solve last week's striped boatneck top crisis at Boden ($34! I love it!). So, there you go, Mr. Kind-of-a-Jerk Guy. One point for you. A lifetime of happiness bubbles for me.
