Wallet Friendly

A reader whose New Year's resolution is to be more organized asked if I could help track down a wallet that's functional but still chic. My all-time favorite is by Comme des Garéons: It's smartly designed, durable, cool-looking, and relatively affordable. I have this zip-around style (it's actually my second—I got my first about seven years ago, carried it with me everywhere for five years, and when it finally started to show its age I bought another) and have recommended it to a bunch of friends who have bought and loved it since. There are lots of slots for credit cards, etc., and a built-in change purse, and though it fits a ton of stuff it's still compact. It also comes as a larger version that's long enough to house bills without having to fold them, and has even more credit card pockets, though the downside is there isn't a space for coins.
