I've been really into tie-dye lately—it must be an extension of my ombré fetish. I don't have a lot of it in my closet (you always want what you don't have, right?), so I've been keeping an eye out for pieces to add to my wardrobe. This new American Apparel T-shirt is perfect, since it also combines the two things I always like in a tee: a gray hue and a looser fit. The way the pattern is scaled and centered, it becomes way more graphic than hippie-ish. It's made of the company's signature poly-cotton (I'm usually not a proponent of poly blends, but theirs is so soft with just the right amount of stretch) that's been burned out to give it a nicely weathered, washed-a-thousand-times look.
