Friday Web Roundup: It Was a Weird Week
I'm just going to admit it: I love, am obsessed with, and get most of my style inspiration these days from the ladies of Gossip Girl. However, that didn't keep me from feeling a little creeped out by this Rolling Stone cover and its accompanying girls-on-Twizzlers inside pictorial.
In other news, Michelle Obama broke my (and Stylelist's) heart just a wee bit this week with these boots; bloggers over at Frisky pointed out that $60 padded panties might be an uncomfortable bit of false advertising (I agree); and after seeing the spectacular, all-female Métley Crée tribute band Girls Girls Girls live (listen to them here), I am tempted to start searching eBay for some serious, hell-hath-no-fury leather.
And, last, a major shopping tip for us vintage-obsessed folks: Shop at Mod Cloth. It's an adorable online store with tons of unique, affordable finds—mostly vintage and vintage-inspired clothes, shoes, and accessories—that I always want. I have a major retail crush on all of their new spring dresses and skirts, most of which are under $100.
