I Want Your Opinion: What Slip Is the Best?

So. I was getting ready for a party the other night and the dress I wanted to wear seemed a little bare for the weather. I hemmed and hawed and debated, and then I realized: It needed a slip. Not only for extra insulation, but to give me a little bit more coverage (it was a work event, after all, not a date). So I rummaged around in my drawer and found a fairly pretty one that had come along with some sheer dress I'd bought years ago. And it was a revelation: For one, a little bit of lace-edged silk was a nice addition to the outfit, and second of all, it just felt so nice against my skin. Now I want more. I'm leaning toward getting one by Only Hearts, of which there are tons of discounted options on Bluefly. But since I'm new to this whole slip game, do you all have any lines that you swear by? It seems like vintage slips could be a good way to go, too. Help!
