I was reading through our gigantic Eco Sourcebook this weekend, looking for some style inspiration, and figured I could start with some non-leather shoes. Okay, maybe that's not much of a stretch: It's no secret that I love a canvas sneaker. I haven't worn Keds in about a gazillion years, but I'm a sucker for their simplest version. And what's even better is that they're now making it in organic cotton. I think they're totally cute with summer dresses. I've also long been coveting a pair of Toms—they're not exactly eco, but for every pair of shoes you purchase, a pair goes to a child in need.

I absolutely adore TOMS! I have 4 pairs and I wear them every chance I get :) They are super comfy and a cooler version of a sneaker (in my opinion) Just make sure to follow the sizing instructions on the website because their sizing is kind of funky.

Re: the previous comment-- Don't the Toms shoes run like a size too small? This makes me nervous, somehow.... Though I guess that means I should be nervous about buying shoes online, period. Am I the only one with this problem?
