On the Hunt for ... Norma Kamali

The other day I was searching eBay for vintage sweatshirts (I can't find a modern sweatshirt that looks good on me—no, not even that one from American Apparel) when I came across an amazing option that was a little out of my price range. The sweatshirt in question was from Norma Kamali, a designer I've always been intrigued by,

but never actually bought. Kamali got her start in the '60s, but is best known for her designs in the late '70s and '80s (she also makes popular bathing suits and recently created a line for Wal-Mart). I somehow associate her clothes with that show Thirtysomething, in a super-positive way. On eBay today, I checked out some of Kamali's vintage pieces—and I found this, this, and this, all items I think I'd turn to for years for something offbeat and cool.
