Would you wear a cropped top?

I've seen these boxy, extra-short tops everywhere this season, from high-end designers like Marni to way-affordable labels—I found the ones here at Charlotte Russe. And I kind of love them. I know they're a little out there, possibly what Kim, our editor-in-chief, would call "the whistle only dogs can hear" (by which she means that it's the sort of thing that only a fashion editor would possibly like). But hear me out! Worn with a black high-waisted skirt, how cute could these be? Or layered over a long, tissue-thin shirt, the way Kate Bosworth did recently? No midriff revealed (so no extra gym time needed—nice!) and instead you get just a fresh, new silhouette. Thoughts?
