Beauty Drama in New Orleans!
Am I the dumbest beauty editor ever? Sometimes! I arrived yesterday in New Orleans for Jazz Fest and realized I'd forgotten to pack... beauty products. Most crucially, SUNSCREEN. I'm going to be outside all day interviewing cute girls about their festival style (everyone here wears HATS; I bought a straw fedora at Walgreens and am totally into it, even though it's vaguely K-Fed).
Anyway, I went to Walgreens on Canal Street here--it's in this super glamorous Art Deco building; so cool--and bought Aveeno SPF 70 sunscreen and Banana Boat Ultra Defense Faces SPF 30. Oh, AND Burt's Bees Hand Sanitizer, because anyone who reads the beauty blog knows how hideously acne-prone I am--and I am SO not smearing sunscreen all over my face with germy hands.
ANYWAY, I'm going to go wash off the 40 pounds of makeup I wore for my TV segment this morning (check out our Twitter) and then on to Jazz Fest! Tony Bennett and Bonnie Raitt today (oldschool=awesome); psyched for Kings of Leon tomorrow (and Bon Jovi, LOL) and Neil Young on Sunday!
