Found: The perfect travel laptop bag

As I was embarking on my ninth mile of scouting Brooklyn yesterday (True fact: I actually use a pedometer!), my back decided to start aching...a lot. That's because a shoulder bag, however lightened its load may be, is just not built for long slogs. I know this, and yet I make this mistake repeatedly, if only because I don't own a good alternative. Until now, because I wandered into Epaulet on Smith Street and saw two things of note (the first being Alex from The Real Housewives of New York City , who I've randomly seen twice in the past week). The second, more important discovery, was this canvas messenger from Greenport, NY-based company Wm J. Mills & Co. It's really adorable—in a schoolboy-ish way—and the perfect size for a day's worth of necessities, or, even better, a laptop. And because it's canvas, it weighs almost nothing. It's available in black, though I am definitely going with navy.
