I want a miniature cactus garden
I took a tour around Dossier yesterday, which is a new boutique in Fort Greene (it's spun out from the literary journal of the same name) that specializes in really cool limited-edition books, vintage clothing, and a well-curated assortment of antique jewelry. What I really wanted to take home, though, were the mini-cacti, potted and scattered about the store. The little buggers were seriously cute, particularly arranged in threes and fives, and they're so hardy (obviously), that I'd like to think that even someone like me might be able to keep them alive. You can buy them at Cactus Limon for about $10 a piece (Dossier is selling them for $6), though I'm tempted to buy a crate of 64 for $85and give them away as gifts...
