Glacier-inspired tableware, plus Pendleton secret source
As mentioned, I was in Glacier National Park earlier this week, where I
stayed at Many Glacier, which is this genius, Alpen-inspired lodge buried in the park. They have an extensive and varied gift shop there, which I've loved—and shopped—since I was a child. Besides all the necessary sundries like mosquito repellent and sunscreen and the requisite wall of logo-emblazoned t-shirts, the shop carried loads of Pendleton, including a host of homewares I'd never seen before. I bought multiple mugs, which were wrapped in the Chief Joseph print, not because they'll be really fun to carry back on the plane, but because I've never seen them before. And while they don't have the exact ones on the Pendleton website, they do have the Glacier print in a travel cup, plus this really gorgeous platter. And on the same bent, while browsing around the big trading post in
Browning, Montana, I found a Pendleton-fabric bomber jacket made by a company called Kraff—it looks like they use all the iconic patterns in their own range of products. This $30 "Bingo Bag" is pretty amazing.
