Old Line, New Tricks
Ann Taylor's new head designer, Lisa Axelson, was inspired by the label's archives from the '60s and '70s, and how of-the-moment they feel even now. Fittingly, her first collection is filled with simple-yet-fashiony pieces that are fun without running the risk of ever looking dated. Here, three dresses she--and we--are especially excited about:
Dress One: "The flutter sleeves are so pretty--and great if you don't love your upper arms."
TROPICAL WOOL FLUTTER-SLEEVE DRESS, $175, ANNTAYLOR.COM
Dress Two: "This silk charmeuse is very light, so the cascading strips don't add bulk."
TIERED SATIN DRESS, $240, ANNTAYLOR.COM
Dress Three: "Ruffles make this otherwise plain style flirtier, and I like the subtle shine of the fabric."
HIGH-TECH TAFFETA RUFFLES DRESS, $160, ANNTAYLOR.COMWhat's with All the Spam in the Comments Section?
