Sandal Crisis! I Need Your Help!

Confession:Cristina asked me for help in tracking down shoes for her trip toVietnam and I failed miserably. I've been looking all over for the pastmonth, and I'm still stumped. And by now it's been so long she'salready back from her trip! I know it's too late but I'm determined togive her some options. She was looking for "cute but EXCEEDINGLYcomfortable sandals (we're talking, like, orthopedic here)"—amanageable challenge. The part where I fell apart came when she alsorequested that said sandals be water-proof, since it rains mostafternoons this time of year in Hanoi. Aah! Rain is my Kryptonite! Assoon as it starts to drizzle I panic about getting dressed, especiallywhen it comes to footwear (I blame my San Diego upbringing, where itrains like once every two years). So I defer to the rest of you outthere to complete my mission: have you seen any devastatingly chic,amazingly comfortable sandals that also happen to be water-repellent??
