The Great Jumpsuit Debate Goes On
While I'm certainly not the first to ponder wearing a jumpsuit, on a personal level I hadn't really taken the trend seriously until I saw this version by Joe's Jeans. There's no mistaking the fact that this is, as Jenn once described, "a full-on, neck-to-leg, pants-attached-to-a-top onesie"—a tough look to pull off beyond infancy. To make things even riskier, it's made entirely of denim, which could've easily gone wrong in a Texas tuxedo/Britney and Justin way back when at the VMA's kind of way. And yet, with the feminine spaghetti straps, clean, dark wash, and loose fit, there's something more elegant and grown-up about this piece than the other iterations I've seen. I also think the bare top, relaxed bottoms, and floor-sweeping length amount to a more flattering silhouette than most. I'm imagining it with some kind of flat (maybe a suede ballet shoe, or leather t-straps) for running around on the weekends. Who's with me on this one?
