Flipping through The Lucky Guide to Mastering Any Style, I tried to convince myself I was a mix of two of the iconic looks, Euro Chic and Posh Eclectic. Alas, no matter how obsessed I may be with Marni-esque style, the number of plain white button down shirts I own far outnumbers anything else in my closet which makes my look American Classic. What can I say, I do love a button down shirt and there is no better spokesperson for us "White Shirt Lovers Club"* than the ever stylish, great American designer, Carolina Herrera. She has made the white shirt her uniform and pairs them with everything from slacks to voluminous taffeta floor length skirts for evenings. How genius! My favorite white shirt site is polo.com because you can monogram them.
