I'm 5' 11" and am always in flats (if I wear anything else, I get questions like 'How's the air up there?'). But Heather Summerville (who is in heels every day) persuaded me to dive in and try a pair of really hot, teeteringly high stilettos for a party, and she was right! I felt incredibly daring--also somewhat unstable, but once I anchored myself to a stool it was all good.
