An Unexpected Gift Source: Talbots

I already know where I'm buying my holiday gifts and it's a pretty unlikely source. Talbots, the bastion of classic and, truth be told, formerly slightly fusty style, has had a makeover and the result is great. The new design team has found the perfect way to add just enough of a twist to all of the old favorites to give them a much younger and more fun appeal. The accessories are especially irresistible which is where the holiday presents come in (friends and relatives who are reading this, I'm giving you a spoiler warning). Still TBD as to who gets what (I do still have 5 months) I'm going to be buying armloads of embellished evening bags for $79, Swarovski crystal snowflake necklaces for $49, satin cosmetics bags for $29 and pouch sets for $49. Watch for everything in-store and online in November.
