Found: Flattering Bikinis

I'm not a fan of the g-string or any form of teeny tiny undies, so when it comes to a bikini, the same rules apply. Maybe it's my inner Bridget Jones or just that I should have been born in the 50's, but in my opinion, bikini bottoms look far better with a bit of coverage. Luckily, Tiger Lily heard my cries and for their 2010 resort, they debuted a fabulous 70's, high-waisted belly button skimming bikini. Unfortunately, our bottoms will have to wait for 2010, but this Loeffler Randall one will do just nicely till then!

Sneak Peek: Isaac Mizrahi Thinks Plaid Is In For Fall

Click here to see our top 10 picks from Liz Claiborne's fall collection!

Here at Lucky , we all fell in love with Isaac Mizrahi's debut spring collection for Liz Claiborne. His flirty florals, safari-inspired jackets and bright colors proved to everyone that he still has the magic touch. Even Michelle Obama, who is often spotted in his chic cardigans, is a fan of Mizrahi's fashion-forward designs. So we were all eager to see what he would have up his sleeve for his second collection. What's big for fall? According to Mizrahi it's plaid, plaid and more plaid!

While his collection consisted of on-trend pieces like denim sailorpants, shrunken jackets and printed tights, his fun plaid pieces thatstole the show. Our picks? We love the bright plaid toggle coat, theblack plaid blazer and matching high waist pants, and the multi-coloredplaid ruched cross-over dress. Pieces will be available atlizclaiborne.com in early August.

The denim specialists at Diesel have a new passion: music. The Italian brand has been promoting up-and-coming artists with a international tour, U: Music; it touched down last night at Webster Hall in New York City. The line-up was impressive: Theophilus London, Passion Pit, Cobra Starship, Drake, The Roots, and special guests Kanye West and Lykke Li!In a highly anticipated finale, Lykke Li's quirky dance moves and sweet voice complemented the Roots onstage in a collaboration of her songs including "Little Bit" (my favorite) and "Everybody But Me". Here, some photos of their performance.

Genius Idea: Bikini Vending Machines

How many times have you gone on a trip and either forgotten to bring a swimsuit or just not bothered because you didn't think you'd be logging any pool time? Well, now, Quiksilver and hotelier Andre Balazs have come up with a clever and handy solution to that dilemma: the two are teaming up to create cobranded men's and women's swimsuits (board shorts and bikinis) that will be sold in poolside vending machines at Balazs' four Standard Hotels. And making the whole concept even more fabulous, the machines will also sell zines and inexpensive works of art from local artists.

Anonymous Model Unmasked: She's been in Lucky!

I love this: For the past year, Jenna Sauers has been anonymously blogging on the website Jezebel about what life as a model is REALLY like. I haven't been following her, but apparently she's covered the good, the bad, the ugly and most of all, the exploitation. I was reading on Fashion Week Daily about how she recently revealed her identity in her final post for the site as she ends her modeling career and goes on to become a journalist. All grabby stuff, but what really got me was the link to her portfolio with an annotated shot from one of our Lucky "hair guides." While she may have been serving up some scandalous dirt about the industry, her assessment of her stint with Luckywas decidedly more complimentary.

She talks about how our fashion editor (presumably she means AndreaLinett, our creative director who styled the shoot) ferreted out a pairof really awesome sandals in a little Mexican store during their shootin Tulum and goes on to say that "if you sent a Lucky team to Antarctica, they'd still find a store with really cute cardigans" because hey, "that's just what they do."
