New Pattern We Love: Riviera Squares
I learned a new term yesterday: riviera squares. The 'squares' are made up of a criss-crossing of perpendicular stripes, and while I don't think this is the official name for this pattern (it's really just a simple grid print, isn't it?), 'riviera squares' certainly sounds fun and glamorous, and can be a fresh switch-out for sailor stripes when the mood strikes. For a splurgy investment, Dries Van Noten has a super-chic pair of shorts that just went on sale, while American Apparel's jersey t-shirt and this flouncy skirt from Forever 21 are two cool takes on the trend for under $40.
