Studded Wristbands: Are These Spikes Too Big?

At the very top of the fashion pyramid is the art of couture. Detractors have been proclaiming the end of it since the 1960s, and yet, season after season, we see the immaculate conceptions of talented designers such as Karl Lagerfeld for the House of Chanel and Galliano for Dior come to life on the runways in Paris. Couture not only keeps the skills and creativity of designers and the countless people who work in the backrooms alive, it informs and inspires the work of other designers. Example: Givenchy by designer Riccardo Tisci. Tisci's love of spikes, studs and leather, as seen in both his ready-to-wear and couture collections, has made the look ubiquitous and more mainstream. I, for one, cannot get enough of Tisci-inspired edgy looks. A couple of searches on Google led me to this website, and I am loving the studded wristband with half inch spikes. Quite chic and tres dangereux!
