Am I Too Old for These Wolford Tights?

Despite the fact that it is about 200 billion degrees outside (or, perhaps, because of it), I have found myself more and more often dreaming of fall. It's by far my favorite season, and I am so ready to pile on the layers, boots and scarves--which has led me to consider my choice in tights. Although I've always been a minimalist when it comes to tights (my usual are these Wolford Velvet Deluxe 50), I've become totally obsessed with these. My only concern is that I may be too old to pull them off. I think they'd be perfect paired with a simple black dress and flats, and would be a (reasonably) inexpensive way to reinvent my old boring basics.
