Finally, A City Appropriate, Super Cozy Shearling Boot
Years ago I succumbed to the exceptional warmth and comfort of Ugg boots. I'm a huge wimp about cold weather, and in the dead of winter there are few things that can relieve that icy, chilly feeling as satisfyingly. I love them, but really just for padding around the house or running down the block to the closest bodega—I find them too casual and beachy (growing up in San Diego, all the surfers wore these) for day-to-day. This year, I have my eye on No. 6's Aviator Shearling Boots. This knee high style is also completely lined in shearling (like Uggs, you can slip them on barefoot), and the slim shaft, cool, crackly leather, and clog heel add up to a much more sleek look. They're water-repellent too, so you don't have to worry about taking them out in the slush. Pair them with a fisherman's sweater and skinny jeans for weekends, or for a night out, try a swingy wool dress and tights.
