Personal Obsession: Solid Perfume
I can't remember when my love for solid perfume began, but it was definitely cemented at the Stella McCartney show in Paris a few years back. She had recently launched her fragrance Peony which came with a solid amber perfume. Florals aren't my thing, but the second I smelled the amber solid, I was hooked. I love the convenience of carrying around a small discreet fragrance that you can reapply whenever, and plus it's a lot more subtle than its spray counterparts. Since then, my new favorite was this one from Pacifica (after reading about it in Lucky, and a steal at $9!).
My latest obsession is Josephine Jonquille by crazylibellule and the poppies le garconne which I randomly stumbled upon at the cutest shop in of all places, the Asbury Park boardwalk. (The shop is incredibly charming, with the cutest array of things, from John Derian decoupage to homemade marshmallows, and my solid perfume.) I love the pretty old fashioned packaging and they all smell so amazing it was hard to pick just one.
