Vacation Inspiration: Refined Tribal
Fresh off a 10 hour flight from Greece, I forced myself to stay up late last night--both to unpack and to ward off jet lag. Despite my best efforts, I ended up passing out at 9:30pm after inspecting and organizing my many vacation purchases. I picked up a lot of olive oil soaps and souvenir shot, but my favorite acquisition was a one-of-a-kind turquoise and brass ring I bought in a tiny shop on the island of Mykonos (at left). I love the mix of the rough metal with the smooth stones and the feather shape on the top. It seems to possess the essence of refined tribal--a style I intend to incorporate into my wardrobe to ease the transition from vacation dressing to the office attire.
If a vacation to Greece isn't in your immediate future, here are some other like spirited items I've found:
An American Apparel tee and a feather hair clip
