What I'm Buying for Fall: Great finds on eBay

Remember David Letterman's kind of cringe-y Oscar hosting gig a few years back? Remember how he inexplicably launched into that weird "Oprah, Uma, Oprah, Uma" rant? Well, sometimes I find myself stuck in a similar semantics labyrinth witheBay and Etsy.

Which should I look to on any given day? The answer, I'm finding, is both. Though I'm loving all of the amazing, unusual stuff I snap up on Etsy, I still turn to my favorite auction site for what it does best: Classic designer pieces at ridiculously good prices. In fact, I've been on a serious roll lately for fall stuff: I bought this amazing, slightly shrunken Phillip Lim denim jacket for just $79, a pair of pristine vintage Ferragamo boots that set me back $100 (for shoes I could ostensibly wear every day!), and the bag of my dreams, brand new and in soft dove gray, for less than half its original price. What's next is a tweedy designer suit and something Prada, just because. How about you guys? Ebay hopes? Dreams? Success stories? Share!
