Spotlight on Super Sunglasses

With the onslaught of celebrity tabloid and paparazzi shots, I sometimes find myself wondering about the stars' flash-shielding sunglasses. I can usually guess the shoes and bags, but for some reason sunglasses are harder to identify. Well, it's getting easier now that they're all wearing Super sunglasses.

From Kanye, to Gwen Stefani and Katy Perry--you name it, their shades are by Super. They have amazing retro shapes tweaked ever so slightly to make them perfectly modern. While I am a minimalist when it comes to sunglasses (I love my summer pair from Oliver Peoples), there's something so appealing about the Super Mono in particular. They totally channel a modern version of one of my all time favorite style icons, Anne Slater [left ], who has been sporting the same cobalt blue lenses since the late 60's, when she bought 36 pairs from an unnamed Philadelphia optician.

What do you say: Should I stick to the simpler black and tortoise variety, or is color cooler?
